What is the Hamsey PTA?
A PTA is a Parent Teacher Association, an organisation with a mission to make the school a better place for children to learn. Hamsey Community Primary School PTA brings together parents, teachers and children to raise funds and strengthen the school community.
Money raised is usually spent on things that the school budget does not cover. We are registered as a charity and to support this status we have two co-Chairs, a Secretary and Treasurer.
Supporting these roles are the core PTA planning team (consisting mainly of parents and carers), teacher liaisons and the Head of School.
Want to join?
As a parent you are automatically a member of the PTA, and by taking a more active role you can make new friends, get to know the school environment, help to raise much-needed funds, and make a difference to the children and the school community.
