My name is Angela Green and I am honoured to serve as Head of School at Hamsey, a thriving village school in Cooksbridge, enriched by the beauty of the South Downs and the strength of our community.
At Hamsey, children are our priority: at the centre, always and in all ways. Our small size is one of our greatest strengths, creating a nurturing environment where every child belongs, is truly known, valued and supported to flourish.
Our vision is simple but powerful: we are a kind, creative community where learning is an adventure. At Hamsey, kindness is at the heart of who we are. It shapes the way we treat one another, how we work closely with families, and how we nurture every child with care, trust and respect. Our broad and ambitious curriculum is alive with creativity, opening space for curiosity, imagination and confidence to thrive. Learning here is embraced as a true adventure - sometimes stretching, always inspiring, and filled with moments of awe, joy, discovery and success.
I am proud to lead a dedicated and caring team of staff, governors, families and community partners, united in one commitment: enabling every child to flourish academically, personally and socially. This is a school where teachers do more than educate - they inspire a lifelong love of learning. With optimism and an unshakable belief in every child’s limitless potential, we champion success for all.
I warmly invite you to visit Hamsey, experience the warmth and vibrancy of our community, and see what makes our school such a remarkable place for children to learn and grow.
